Since 2006, NOWSPAR has provided millions of Kwachas in grants, capacity-building support and opportunities for shared learning and capacity strengthening to thousands of girls and women, community sport and non sport organizations in Zambia and the region. None of that would be possible without the generous support we continue to receive from both local and international donors, organisations, learning institutions, clubs, churches and individuals.

Zed Gives Thursday
An annual advocacy event that happens twice (women’s month in March and during the 16 days of Activism against Gender Based Violence) were we raise funds or obtain donations for health packs for girls and women involved in sports. These health packs consist of sports kits like sports bras, sanitary items and hygiene products. Since sports involve both contact and physical activity, it is important to enhance hygiene assistance. Many girls and women participating in sports in Zambia hail from disadvantaged backgrounds and lack access to these crucial supplies.

The Sports Bra Campaign
This is NOWSPAR’s call to action to obtain donations for sports bras as many girls and women lack this essential support as they participate in various sporting activities. Having an appropriate sports bra boosts confidence, the girls play with comfort, they prevent injury while promoting good health as the chest, shoulder and back are appropriately supported during play.

FUNS - The Females Ultimate Networking and Sports Event
The Females Ultimate Networking and Sports event (FUNS) is an annual women’s event were we raise funds through sports, play and recreation activities for groups of women from business sectors, cooperates, church groups and community groupings. The funds raised from this event enble NOWSPAR to conduct weekly programmes in the communities and schools.

Fun and Healthy CEOs
This is an annual event where CEOs and their team participate in play and sports games while raising resources to develop inclusive sport facilities in the communities and schools.
